It moves easily on carpet/hardwood floors. Easily swing the table around the front of the chair. The open legroom under the "swing" table allows you to use it as a small dining table. However, it is not suitable for use with a wheelchair. A bottom table with shelves is very useful to store items easily. The smooth surface seems to repel water and is easy to clean. I use rubber pads to keep the plates from slipping. It's nice to have a table that doubles as it has a "swing" table and can be folded up when not needed. Note that the top of the abutment needs to be clear to allow the swing table to fold on top of it. This flexibility works well for us.
