Radiata pine #plywood is faster and easier to finish than birch #plywood. Radiata pine is like other pine trees in that it is versatile and fast growing. Radiata pine can be felled radially, and these qualities make it the most widely planted "plantation" pine in the world, and its availability, in turn, makes radiata pine a cost-effective choice. It is generally less expensive than ponderosa pine, but has desirable wood properties. Radiata pine is of medium density. The wood is generally durable, with extra strength imparted by layers of structural adhesive in the radiata pine #plywood. 

#Plywood made of radiata pine is also easy to work with. Because of the relatively straight grain of radiata pine, like most other pine products, it is readily available in a variety of finishes. Radiata pine #plywood is easier to cut and carve than many other woods, and its ability to accept stains and paint can reduce finish drying time and speed up projects.

Its internal bonding strength is also twice as high as that of the hot-pressed poplar core. A good reheated poplar core can be marine grade.
