There are many kinds of glues used in the production of #LVL oriented boards for packaging. Different glues are used, and the quality of the produced boards is different. Customers can choose the glue grade to use according to their own material conditions. For example, E2, E1, MR glue (urea-formaldehyde resin glue), triamine glue, etc.
#LVL board can disperse and stagger the defects such as knots and cracks of logs, thereby reducing the impact on strength. #LVL oriented board makes it stable in quality, uniform in strength and small in material variability, and is an ideal structural material to replace solid wood. #LVL has anti-insect, anti-corrosion, fire-proof, waterproof and other properties, mainly in the production process of the corresponding pretreatment or the use of special adhesives.
The advantage of this production of #LVL packaging board is that its strength is greatly increased, and its strength is 3 times that of ordinary boards. And because it is produced after 10 hours of high temperature and high pressure, it is fumigation-free, and the export can be directly exempted from inspection. The surface of #LVL packaging board is usually sanded to make the surface more smooth and tidy, which can significantly improve the grade of the packaging box.
#LVL is prone to decay when exposed to high moisture levels or used in unventilated areas. Therefore, #LVL should be treated with a preservative to prevent decay or infestation in such applications.
#LVL can be sawed, nailed and drilled with common tools. Holes can also be punched in these components to install services.
The fire resistance of #LVL is similar to that of solid wood, with a slow and predictable charring rate. Rates vary based on the type of wood used and the size of the members.
Since the veneers in #LVL face the same direction, they are particularly suitable for beam construction. #LVL beams have the length, depth and strength to effectively carry loads over large spans.
