Material Origin: The Timeless Texture of Nature's Gift

This series of dining tables and chairs is made from FAS-grade North American oak and black walnut, both renowned for their stable structure and warm touch. The light golden natural color of oak has a sun-like filter, with its clear straight grain and mountain-shaped patterns interwoven to show the traces of natural growth; black walnut, with its deep chocolate hue and silky sheen, gives the space an understated sense of luxury. All wood undergoes 120 days of natural air-drying, with moisture content strictly controlled between 8% and 12%, effectively preventing cracking and warping, ensuring it remains as good as new for a long time in both dry northern and humid southern climates.

The tabletop uses a single-piece splicing technique, eliminating the fragmented feel of traditional finger-jointed boards and preserving the natural continuous grain of the wood. The edges are beveled and polished at a 45-degree angle, resulting in a smooth, jade-like feel and preventing damage from everyday bumps and knocks. Both the chair and table legs utilize traditional mortise and tenon joints, achieving stable load-bearing without metal connectors. This time-honored craftsmanship makes each piece a collectible heirloom.

Functional Evolution: The Spatial Magic of Extendable Design
Addressing the needs of modern families for spatial flexibility, the designer innovatively expanded the standard 1.5-meter table into three adjustable modes: when extended, it is a 1.5-meter long table that can seat 6-8 people; when retracted to 1.2 meters, it instantly transforms into an elegant two-person dining table; the hidden sliding rail design makes the extension and retraction process seamless, allowing for one-handed operation. 

The matching Windsor chair and Butterfly chair redefine comfort standards through ergonomics. The Windsor chair features a classic seven-strut design with a 105° slightly tilted backrest that perfectly conforms to the curve of the human spine; the seat is made of 3cm thick solid wood panels with a high-elasticity sponge cushion, ensuring comfort even after prolonged sitting. The Butterfly chair features a dynamic wing-shaped backrest and elegantly curved armrests, serving as both a dining chair and a reading chair in a corner of a study; its lightweight design makes it easy to move.
